SAFEWAVE USES SONAR TECHNOLOGY TO ALERT KEY PERSONNEL AND EMERGENCY RESPONDERS WITHIN 5 SECONDS

Current alert systems rely on internet and take an average of 5-8 minutes to reach responders. An average mass shooting lasts 12.5 minutes, and the average response time for police is 18 minutes. This means that by the time responders arrive, injury and casualties have already occurred. Current systems also send texts to nonessential personnel often causing mass hysteria and impeding first responders. 17% of texts are never even received.

THE SAFEWAVE WAY

SafeWave uses sonar technology to transmit information without the use of the internet. Once the emergency alert button is
pressed, an ultra-sonic tone is emitted through the existing office speaker system, notifying pre-approved personnel of the
situation. The notification contains the exact protocol to follow for the emergency. This notification is also sent to emergency responders. Everyone receives the notification within 5 seconds. Internet is only used as a part of our fault-tolerant system. A text message and email are also sent to pre-approved personnel to ensure message delivery success.

NOTIFICATIONS

The tone is received by the speakers on cell phones. This tone is inaudible to the human ear and has no effect on service animals. The tone can be received even when cell phones are in airplane mode. Once the tone is received hospital and healthcare staff is presented with the protocol to follow for the situation at hand. This allows them to remain calm and follow the steps they were trained to follow.
